Privacy Policy

Thank you for considering Outpost Buildings for your project. We take your privacy seriously, and this notice explains in plain language what information we collect when you request a quote or contact us, why we collect it, who we share it with, and what you can do about it.

Please read it carefully. If there are terms in this notice you do not agree with, stop using our website and call us instead. If anything here is unclear, call and ask. We would rather explain it than have you guess.

1. What information we collect

In short: We collect what you tell us on a quote request, plus basic technical data from your visit.

There are two kinds. The first is information you hand us on purpose. The second is technical information your browser reports automatically when you load one of our pages.

Information you give us

When you fill out a quote request or call us, we collect what you choose to share. Typically that is:

  • Your name
  • Your phone number and email address
  • Your zip code, and the address or general location of the site where the building would go
  • What you are planning to put inside the building, and any sizes, finishes or features you tell us about
  • Anything else you write in a message field or tell us on the phone

We do not take payments through this website, so we do not collect card or bank details here.

Information collected automatically

When you visit, our analytics and advertising tools may record your IP address, browser and device type, operating system, the pages you viewed and how long you stayed, the site or ad that sent you here, and approximate location derived from your IP address. This is aggregate technical data used to understand how the site performs. It is not used to identify you by name.

2. How we use your information

In short: We use it to price your building, talk to you about it, and learn which of our ads actually work.

We use what you give us to:

  • Prepare and send you an itemized price, a drawing and a lead time
  • Ask follow-up questions we need answered before we can quote accurately
  • Send you the concrete pad specifications for your building
  • Contact you about your request, your order, and the scheduling and delivery of your building
  • Answer questions and provide support after your building is installed
  • Keep records of quotes, orders and warranties
  • Send occasional marketing or follow-up messages, which you can opt out of at any time
  • Understand which of our ads and pages actually generate quote requests, so we spend our advertising budget sensibly
  • Detect and prevent fraud, and comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with unrelated companies for their own marketing.

3. Phone calls and text messages

In short: Giving us your number means we may call and text you about your project. Reply STOP to end texts.

Needs a decision before launch. This section assumes Outpost Buildings will follow up with leads by text message. If that is the plan, carrier registration (A2P 10DLC) requires matching consent language on the quote form itself, and the wording below has to line up with it. If Outpost will never text leads, delete this section and remove the SMS checkbox from the form.

When you give us your phone number on a quote request, you are agreeing that we may call you and send you text messages about your request, your quote, and the scheduling of your building.

Message frequency varies depending on where your project is. Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile plan. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of buying anything from us.

To stop text messages, reply STOP to any message from us and we will stop texting that number. Reply HELP for assistance, or call us at (888) 709-4659. Opting out of texts does not remove you from phone or email contact about a quote you have already requested.

We do not share or sell your phone number or your consent to be contacted with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

4. How we use cookies and tracking technologies

In short: We use cookies and a Google Tag Manager container to measure how our pages and advertisements perform.

Our pages use cookies and similar technologies, including a Google Tag Manager container that loads our analytics and advertising tags. These are used to remember that a visit happened, to measure whether an advertisement resulted in a quote request, and to understand which parts of a page people actually read.

You can refuse or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you do, parts of the site may not work the way they are supposed to, though you will still be able to read every page and call us.

5. When we share your information

In short: We share only with our own team, the providers who run our systems, and partners your project requires.

We process or share your information on one of these bases: your consent; our legitimate business interests, such as quoting and delivering a building; performance of a contract with you; compliance with a legal obligation; or vital interests, where disclosure is necessary to investigate or prevent harm.

In practice, we share only where we have a reason to and only as much as the reason requires. Specifically:

  • Our own team. The sales and design people who prepare your quote and the crew who install your building.
  • Service providers who run our systems. Our customer relationship and marketing platform, email and text message delivery providers, website hosting, and analytics and advertising platforms. They may only use the information to provide those services to us.
  • Referral partners. We refer customers to concrete contractors we trust. Where you ask us to make an introduction, that may involve passing on your name, phone number and site address so they can quote your pad.
  • Manufacturers and suppliers, where your building requires a component or an engineered drawing to be ordered against your project.
  • Professional advisers and authorities, where we are legally required to disclose information, or need to establish or defend a legal claim.
  • A buyer or successor, if the business is sold, merged or reorganized. Your information would transfer as part of that, subject to this policy.

6. Advertising and analytics

In short: We advertise on Google and measure the results. You can opt out of Google’s analytics and ad personalization.

We advertise on Google and we measure the results. Our pages use Google Analytics and Google Ads conversion tracking, loaded through Google Tag Manager. These tools tell us how many people who clicked an advertisement went on to request a quote or call us. We may also use remarketing, which means you could see an Outpost Buildings advertisement on other websites after visiting ours.

Google's own handling of that data is governed by Google's privacy policy, which you can read at policies.google.com/privacy. You can opt out of Google Analytics using Google's browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout, and you can change what advertising you see at myadcenter.google.com. To opt out of interest-based advertising from advertisers generally, visit aboutads.info/choices.

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland and believe we are processing your information unlawfully, you also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

7. How long we keep your information

In short: We keep your information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes of this notice, unless the law requires longer.

We keep quote request information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes of this privacy notice, unless you ask us to delete it sooner, or unless we are required to keep it longer for tax, warranty or legal reasons. Records tied to a building we actually delivered are kept for as long as the warranty runs, plus any period the law requires. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or strip out anything that identifies you.

8. How we keep your information safe

In short: We protect your information with reasonable safeguards, though no electronic system is perfectly secure.

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information you give us, including access controls on the systems that hold it. No website or electronic system is perfectly secure, so we cannot promise that information sent over the internet can never be intercepted. Send us anything genuinely sensitive by phone rather than by web form.

9. Your privacy rights

In short: You can ask us what we hold, correct it, delete it, or stop marketing to you.

Wherever you live, you can ask us to:

  • Tell you what information we hold about you
  • Correct anything that is wrong
  • Delete your information, unless we are required to keep it
  • Stop sending you marketing emails or text messages

To exercise any of these, use the contact details in section 14. We will respond within 30 days. We will not treat you differently or refuse to quote your project because you exercised a privacy right.

10. State-specific privacy rights

In short: California residents have specific rights. Which other states apply is a question for counsel.

For legal review. California is named below as the conservative default, following the house pattern. Arkansas, Missouri, Illinois and Kentucky do not all have comprehensive consumer privacy statutes of the same type, though Illinois has its own biometric information law and this area changes quickly. Counsel should confirm which states to name here for a business operating across this footprint.

California residents. If you live in California, you may request that we disclose the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the categories of sources it came from, the purpose for collecting it, and the categories of third parties we share it with. You may also request deletion. We do not sell personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of on that front. California's "Shine The Light" law also lets you request, once a year and free of charge, information about personal information we disclosed to third parties for direct marketing purposes.

The categories of personal information we collect are:

Other privacy rights

  • You may object to our processing of your personal information
  • You may request correction of information that is incorrect or no longer relevant, or ask us to restrict how it is processed
  • You may designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf. We may decline a request from an agent who does not provide proof they were authorized to act for you.
  • You may request to opt out of any future sale of your personal information. We do not sell it, but if that ever changed we would act on an opt-out request within 15 days.

To exercise any of these, use the contact details in section 14. If you have a complaint about how we handled your information, we would rather hear it from you directly than not at all.

11. Do Not Track signals

In short: No uniform standard exists yet, so we do not currently respond to Do Not Track signals.

Some browsers can send a "Do Not Track" signal. There is still no agreed standard for how websites should respond to it, so we do not currently change our behavior when we receive one. If a standard is adopted, we will update this policy to say how we follow it.

12. Children's privacy

In short: We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

Our website and our buildings are sold to adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us their information, contact us using section 14 and we will delete it.

13. Changes to this policy

In short: We may update this notice, and we will change the date at the top of the page when we do.

We may update this policy to stay accurate and to keep up with the law. When we do, we will change the "last updated" date at the top of this page. If the changes are significant, we will say so more prominently. Material changes take effect when we post them.
